Fees And Cancellations

Children aged under 16 will be bulk billed Monday to Friday, and reduced fees are available for pension and concession card holders.

You can cancel or change your Mt Waverley Clinic appointment without incurring any fees, as long as you give us at least two hours notice. To cancel or change your appointment please phone us on 9807 9911.

Missed or cancelled appointments with less than two hours notice may incur a fee of $50. No part of this fee can be claimed back from Medicare.

Patients with a chronic illness or complex health management requirements need to visit their doctor on a regular basis to maintain good health.

As a way of helping patients who need frequent treatment, these consultations are bulk billed directly to Medicare. Please speak to your doctor or one of our friendly team if you require any of these services.

Workcover and TAC patients are responsible for any fees related to your claim until you have a claim number approved by Workcover or TAC. After payment you will be issued with a receipt that you can take to your employer for reimbursement. Once approved, these fees can be claim directly by the Mt Waverley Clinic with Workcover and TAC.

Procedures, wound dressings and the use of some medical consumables as part of your treatment may attract a fee.
The out of pocket fees for procedures based on the length of time, complexity of the treatment and supplies and equipment required.

Please note that all patients will be charged an out of pocket fee for procedures regardless of concessional status. All fees will be discussed with you prior to commencing any procedures.

Travel consultations and the cost and administration of travel or other vaccines have set fees based on the specific requirements. Please speak to any of our team for the price of any of our vaccines.

Payments must be made on the day of the appointment via cash, EFTPOS or credit (visa and mastercard only) and an immediate Medicare rebate is accessible through our payment facility if you have registered your bank details with Medicare.

Fees must be paid on the day and accounts not paid on the day may incur a $10 accounting fee. No further appointments can be made while fees are outstanding. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please speak to one of our team at your earliest convenience.

Medicare considers some government forms to be eligible for completion during a consultation and these can be bulk billed.

In all other circumstances completing and signing forms will incur an additional fee, which won’t be eligible for a Medicare rebate. When making an appointment, please let our team know which form you want to complete to allow enough time during the consultation. Fees will be advised at the time of booking if you make the booking by phoning the clinic on 9807 9911.
